What We Do
We design audio and video rendering products for which ease of operation is surpassed only by audio/video performance and reliability. Our designs and much of the manufacturing is still done here in the USA.
A History of Delivering Solutions
For more than 30 years, IAL founders have been delivering electronics products that meet the most demanding customer expectations. Our next generation of products, now in development, represent the cumulative results of years of accomplishment now applied to delivering the most satisfying music listening and home theater experiences in the industry.
Built on A Solid Approach
We're building upon the rich legacy originally started by Mondial Designs with the Aragon brand. In 1987 the first Aragon amplifier, the 4004, was introduced to the world and the history of sound reproduction was changed forever. The reputation of Aragon grew rapidly within the industry, particularly among state of the art speaker manufacturers. The only amplifiers that could properly amplifiy speakers of varying impedance loads were very few and very expensive. Most amplifiers could only handle a limited impedance load. Therefore, speaker designs were restricted to the limited loads these amplifiers could handle.
The aragon 4004 allowed speaker engineers to use any impedance load they wanted. For the first time in history reasonably priced loudspeakers could be created where the only design concern is quality of sound reproduction. Speaker manufacturers purchased Aragon amplifiers, designed with a new found freedom and significantly advanced the art of sound reproduction.
A few years later, Aragon again took its place in history. Never in history have museums been able to allow visitors the priviledge of hearing the precious instruments in their collection. The instruments were on display and could be seen, but they could not come alive. Museum curators discovered that with an Aragon system consisting of the D2A digital to analog converter, 24k preamplifier and 4004 amplifier the subtle nuances of the instruments could be easily discerned. Now, visitors can not only see the differences between the several Stradivarius violins, but actually hear the differences thanks to Aragon electronics.
True to Our Heritage
Although we are honored by this distinguished past, it is time for us to proudly move our tradition forward. Built upon the long-revered Aragon and Acurus product philosophies and technology approach, we strive to ensure that IAL products take sound design principles to new levels of sophistication and connectivity while never losing sight of raw audio performance and ease of operation.
Most Importantly, We Listen
These two words describe both how we approach our craft and how we intend to serve you, our customer. First and foremost, we are passionate about great sound and want as many people in the world as possible to experience it first-hand. In our spare time, we're consumers of audio and video for entertainment and information, just as you are. Some of us are even part-time musicians and live sound engineers. We're the fortunate ones that get to make the science and art of reproducing audio a career.
When it comes to you, the customer, the same applies. Listening to what you want is more important than explaining what we have to sell. We believe that if we need to spend too much time explaining why you need our solution, we probably don't have the right one in the first place.
